CSV INFORMATION

The Community Safety Village of York Region is found on 6 acres of Bruce’s Mill Conservation area and includes:

- Ample parking
- Picnic areas, forests
- Nature trails
-Outdoor miniature village
- Maple syrup making in the spring
- State-of the art education centre with a servery, three classrooms, a large community room, Sparky’s Apartment, cloak room, public washrooms and administrative offices.

 

The outdoor miniature village boasts paved roads and sidewalks, operating traffic lights, working railway crossing signals and lights, live hydro substation, 9-1-1 phone simulator, stationary school bus, playground and 30 small buildings. Visitors can enter the following buildings for additional learning; police station, fire hall, ambulance station, bus terminal, school, and church. Other building fronts in the Village include; banks, restaurants, town hall, library, hardware store, grocery store, and houses.

Monday - Friday

Fee: $2.00 per child

Dates: Year round with limited registration available
during P.A. Days, Christmas break,
March break, and summer time.

Generally there are no eligibility restrictions.
Students between the ages of 6-12 during daytime hours.
For community groups, the Village is open to all age groups, and almost entirely wheel chair accessible. The pedestrian cross lights have audible signals for the visually impaired.
